Museum Presented with a Commemorative Gift Marking the Centenary of the First Turkological Congress

The National Museum of History of Azerbaijan received a commemorative gift from ABB featuring a reproduction of the alphabet reform proposal developed in the 19th century by the prominent Azerbaijani thinker and educator Mirza Fatali Akhundzade.

The gift was created to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, which took place in Baku in 1926. Mirza Fatali Akhundzade’s initiatives to reform the alphabet played an important role in the history of Azerbaijani intellectual thought. His work in this field helped lay the intellectual foundations for subsequent discussions on language and writing systems.

The commemorative gift, which symbolized the historical development of the Azerbaijani language and the importance of preserving the nation's cultural heritage, was produced at ABB's initiative and presented to the Museum.
