An “Archaeo Club” Event to Be Held at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan

On 23 October 2026, at 3:00 p.m., an event organised by the “Archaeo Club” will take place in the small assembly hall of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The event will focus on the topic “Caspian Sea Level Fluctuations and Medieval Urban Culture: Based on Underwater Archaeological Materials”.

The speaker will be Aida Ismayilova, Senior Researcher at the Museum’s Archaeology Scientific Fund Department and Doctor of Philosophy in History. She will discuss changes in the level of the Caspian Sea and the role of underwater archaeological materials in the study of medieval urban culture.

The event is open to everyone interested in archaeology, history and the underwater heritage of the Caspian Sea. There are no age restrictions for participation.
