An event titled “A Cultural Journey for Children: Mexico and Azerbaijan” was held at the Museum

An educational and cultural event titled “A Cultural Journey for Children: Mexico and Azerbaijan” was held at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the event was to promote intercultural dialogue among children, introduce the rich cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani and Mexican peoples, and present the values of friendship and mutual understanding.
The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the United Mexican States in the Republic of Azerbaijan, museum staff, as well as teachers and students of secondary school No. 189–190.
The event was opened with an introductory speech by the Director of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, Academician Naile Vali Khanli. Naile Vali Khanli spoke about the importance of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico. She also provided information about the display cases featuring children-related artifacts preserved in the museum. In conclusion, she wished the children a healthy life, happiness, and success.
Next, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victoria Romero, expressed her gratitude for the invitation to the event and spoke about the importance of cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
At the event, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan and publisher Bahram Bagirzade spoke, noting the importance of such events in shaping children’s worldview and helping them better understand different cultures. Afterwards, the presentation of his book “Mexico (For Children)” took place, and the author gifted copies of the book to the participating children.
In the artistic part of the event, Azerbaijani and Mexican dances were performed by Aytac Dadaşova. Members of the “Young Poets” children’s literary initiative recited samples from Mexican poets’ works. In addition, “Azerbaijan” was performed by Arif Qarahmadli, a student of the Bülbül Vocal School.
At the end of the event, certificates were presented to participants for their active involvement. Afterwards, guests visited the “Children’s Traces of History” exhibition and the Mexican-themed artworks by members of the “Ince Art” studio.
